HAKAN SİLAHSIZOĞLU


Festival Director, Founder


Hakan trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England. He has played in BBC Radio 4 plays, appeared in various TV commercials, international television and film projects in Istanbul and London. In addition to his acting career, he also translate plays which have been staged in both private and subsidized public theatres in Turkey including Istanbul State Theatre.

As a cultural operator; he is a member of The Fence theatre network and he is the co-coordinator of Turkish committee in Eurodram which is Europe's largest drama translation network. He has given talks&classes about theatre in Turkey in various international theatre departments including NYU. He was member of prestigious Yapi Kredi Afife Jale Theatre Jury in Istanbul between 2012-2018 theatre seasons. Hakan’s been a global fellow at International Society of Performing Arts (ISPA) in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Silahsızoğlu has joined the selection committee of "IPAY" in 2018 which is the most prestigious congress in the world regarding performing arts for children.

FEYZAN BOSTANCI


Coordinator


Feyzan was born in 1985 in Istanbul. After her graduation she moved to London. She attended various workshops at Arcola for two years. She had interest in acting as an amateur actor. She has worked on the creative process of experimental “Outlines” project which was about second generation of people from Turkey.

When she returned to Istanbul, she started working at a childrens’ book publisher and in 2010 she started working at tiyatrogerçek as coordinator and executive producer. At the moment she works as a theatre management adviser and corporate communication executive. As her interest has shifted more towards the children and young people she started to work with Atta Festival. She also writes for children and adults.

As a Creative Drama Leader, she continues to participate in various workshops, especially on children's development and education models, in order to make more people discover this rich and precious world of creativity.
